At KPS, we follow the guidelines provided by the CBSE for the marking and evaluation of students. These include:Examination (80 Marks) and internal assessment (20 Marks).

1. There will be a total of three periodic tests out of which the scores of best two will be considered for evaluation. The total of these two tests will be further converted on the scale of 10.
2. The dates of these periodic assessments will be communicated accordingly.

3. Lab activities, model making, map work, field trips etc. need to be conducted thrice a year.

1. Co – scholastic activities will be assessed on a 5 – point grading scale by the concerned teacher framing effective tools for the same.
2. Grading will not have any descriptive indicators and the students will not be upgraded based on the co – scholastic grades.
3. The co – scholastic area will cover the work – education, pre – vocational education, art education, physical and health education.
1. The students will be graded by the class teacher for the discipline on a 3 – point grading scale considering the attendance, sincerity, behaviour and values. The grading on discipline will be done on a 3 – point grading scale – A (Outstanding), B (Very Good), C (Fair).
